Godolphin by Parfums De Marly, Godolphin by Parfums de Marly is named after an Arabian racehorse that lived in the 18th century and sired a number of the horses that would become known as Thoroughbreds, as seen today in such races as the Kentucky Derby. This scent for men has high notes of thyme, cypress, saffron and mate. Middle notes include the floral aromas of rose, iris and jasmine. The base notes of leather, cedar, musk, vetiver, vanilla and amber impart a sense of masculine luxury and sophistication.
Godolphin cologne was developed in 2010 by Michele Saramito for Parfums de Marly. The contemporary scent-making company was created by Julien Sprecher and released its first perfume in 2009. The company identifies itself with the 18th century and the French court of King Louis XV.
